Jennifer Pascal earned her B.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University (TTU). She participated in undergraduate research modeling drug delivery through the skin. Working with Dr. Pedro Arce, her doctoral research focused on mechanistic modeling electrical-field based separations and engineering pedagogy. In 2011 she joined the NIH funded Academic Science Education and Research Training program at the University of New Mexico as a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Vittorio Cristini on mathematical oncology while co-teaching first year engineering at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute. From 2013 – 2016, Jennifer was an Assistant Professor at her alma mater, TTU, until she decided that she wanted a career focused primarily on teaching. She joined UConn’s Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department in 2016 as an Assistant Professor in Residence. In 2020, she was promoted to Associate Professor in Residence and serves as Associate Department Head, Director of the CBE Undergraduate Program and accreditation coordinator.

In her spare time, Jennifer has many hobbies, including hiking with her dog, Rover, playing music with her partner, Mark, riding her motorcycle, drawing, reading, and playing tennis.
